You nailed it. This was taken during the on-stage clone battle in Phantom of the Park. It's one of the rare times you can see Gene with this type of bass (a Gibson Thunderbird).

Upon further review of the film,
I noticed Gene appears with
this same bass for a split
second at the beginning of
I Stole Your Love
