burning down the Long Beach Arena!

burning down the Long Beach Arena!
this one was posted earlier in BW, but as it is one of my favourite vintage liveshots, I colored it...just see it as a little experiment to bring some new live into it...;-)

and if someone likes it...great...

I PUT THIS PIC UP ON THE FORUM MANY MOONS AGO IN B/W FORMAT.
IT`S A GEM.
I HAVE LOTS OF B/W PICS SIMILAR TO THIS.
I DONT HAVE THE ORIGINAL.
WOULDN`T BE GREAT IF YOU COULD CONVERT ALL B/W PICS TO COLOUR, JUST WITH A FLICK OF A SWITCH!!!!

too bad...
but you are right, it is a gem anyway and it also would be cool to do that, but unfortunately the software isn`t that far today and it really takes some more than this flick...
so it is actually impossible, because you don`t know about the authentic color of the lights and shades, if you just have a BW one, so it would always be some guess, how the scene could have looked in color...was just some fun!

MY STATEMENT IS THAT THIS IS COOL!!! ITS A LOTS OF PIC OUT THERE WHO WOULD BEEN VERY COOL TO SEE IN COLOUR, WASNT IT VERY COOL WHEN WORLD WAR 2 OR 1 DID CAME IN COLOUR ON DVD ?? YES IT WAS!!! WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE ORIGINAL B/W THING ITS AN GEM AND AN OLD DAYS MEMORIES, BUT WHEN YOU FRESH UP IN COLOUR(FALSE THING) IT BECAME A FRESH IN NEW WAYS IN OUR FANTASIES, THAT IS AN SECOND DREAM, AND I DONT FIND THIS WRONG...CAUSE ITS COOL TO DREAM AND TO SEE THE SAME THING IN ANOTHER WAY....

I agree, sid...when I was a kid; I watched star trek in the early 70ies in BW and I liked it, but when I saw it in color for the first time, it blew me away...I think it is the same effect..BW pics as an artform really can add some drama to a scene, and I also really like these vintage pics, especially when they have some sepia tint... but seeing KISS in 76 live and in color is untopable for me until today...

Does anyone SEE in b/w? Unless there is a problem with your eyes then no, even colorblind people see in color. I guess b/w is attractive to some and I won't deride them for that, but I have always seen it as simply a way to save money on printing costs. The world is in color, and we see it in color, so thank you for making this pic color!

If you wouldn't of said anything, I would of thought this was the original
