Found this in a forum somewhere... the uploader claimed that this was Genes makeup during the KISS Meets The Phantom press conference! What do you say? Fake??

It's just that it looks fake! It looks like it was done in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, using the the Colorization tool!
And it doesn't show up in other photos from the 1978 press con, but then again all photos I have found are not this close!
Did you scan this yourself?

I don`t really think the red lines were shopped...
and I also noticed them on all the pics I have from this press conference...
so, no fake here...folks

When you have lots of different pics from various photographers from the press conference showing the same effects,

The makeup actually looks like that in the DYNASTY and UNMASKED era. It's "fatter" than 1977-78, which, in my opinion, was his best makeup ever.

i totally agree it looks 79-80 cos of the design.the red around the eyes indicates post solo album & would match
the dynasty outfit.definitely gene looking his best. as for the last 15 years gene has only got his make-up right
once & that was when they performed on the wrestling.
