Re: Anvil documentary
Indeed, one the best rock documentaries there are. Real eye opener for me as I always assumed every rock star was a millionaire...NOT in Anvi's case.PJ wrote:for those who never saw this masterpiece; http://www.tagtele.com/videos/voir/63730/

A really heartwarming story about the band just struggling to survive and hoping for that big break. Some great (not meant) comedy moments, like when Lips and Rob are arguing outside some club and Lips says that it's a sold out show.....
Highly recommended.
I always thought their song,"Stop Me",from their,"Metal on Metal",album,is the greatest song that Ace Frehley never wrote! Even the vocals sound like Ace.

Re: Anvil documentary
A friend of mine told me to check this a longtime ago, and after watching it last week I bought Monument of Metal (Anvil's Best) on iTunes
Also, when they'll come in Montreal I'll surely go to the show
Lips seems like a good-hearted and passionnate guy
The only thing about the movie is the ending, I mean the Japan show, seems like it's all fake, just to have a good ending they paked a big room and rock

Re: Anvil documentary
I hear what you are saying about the ending. They just happened to play a festival (far down the running order) that was sold out and their struggle continues.
