LOL!! That's really weird!

It is not unusual for that time period for photos to be retouched or changed around to create a better picture (like the Dynasty album cover). Such works were often done so under grueling deadlines because Kiss put out so much product at the time. I bet that's what happned here. I'm not sure if Dennis did the booklet layout (I don't have it in front of me), but I bet something along those lines is what happened.

I noticed this in '77 the first time I looked at the book. It could be a "pre-photoshop" type error, but looks like the headstock of a Gibson rather than an Ibanez. I always assumed it was the guitar Paul would later smash, but then if it was sitting in that spot it would be in Pete's way. However, since this was not a real show but rather just a shoot anything is possible. Before photoshop it was only "cut and paste", more likely the culprit for the error.
