I suspect that this shot was taken during the dress rehearsal & photoshoot, in Osaka on 23Mar77. Paul and Ace are both using the Greco guitars and it is my suspicion, based on photographic evidence, that those guitars weren't used for any live shows, during the tour. But, I can't be 100% certain, one way or the other.

As I recall, Paul, according to contract, briefly had to play that guitar during concert in Osaka.

KISS definitely played these guitars in Osaka. There are photos where you can see the audience and Paul and Ace are playing those Greco guitars. Also, there is no evidence that there was a dress rehearsal. There were two rehearsals with the band and both were played in street clothes, also supported with photographic evidence.
