Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
This may be the wrong place to post, I apologize if it is- but Ace Frehley just confirmed on Eddie Trunks show tonight (Feb 21, 2014) that neither he nor Peter will be allowed to play with the band at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in April...

Damn shame. Should be like what MTV demanded for the Unplugged show, original member involvement or no show.

Re: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
well, who's surprised here?
Gene and Paul does not need that kind of reunion anymore. Back in 1996 it was worth it but now... They've put the make-up on since that '96 reunion and to the eyes of the ordinary rock fans, they know the spaceman and the catman, not really sure who's Ace or Tommy, Peter or Eric but still buying tickets to the hottest show on earth.
thans for the post

Even though they had a successful reunion in '96 and played together in early 2000, it is such a shame that G&P hold such a grudge as to not want to play with A&P at the induction.
Gene first said he had no issue with and would play with them... but I'm betting Paul is the one who peed on the parade. I could tell from his tweets a month ago he wasn't a happy camper.
Gene just has to go along with Paul as apparently Paul is the one in the drivers' seat.
Such a shame, you could tell Ace was really disappointed, I'm sure Peter felt the same way.

Re: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
I'm bored of the "poor Ace and Pete" statements and I see no reason for shame. They both f****d it up more than once. So there is no premium privilege to perform there for the both of them. KISS is Tommy and Eric for more than 10 years now and they do a great job. In my opinon everybody who plyed in KISS (including Vinnie) should be there on stage to get honored. But let the current line-up play.

Kiss have now posted on kiss online that they will not perform in any lineup at the RRHOF

I think this is the only logical thing to do...STAFF wrote:Kiss have now posted on kiss online that they will not perform in any lineup at the RRHOF
Re: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
A very wise decision.
They would have made fools out of themselves/their legacy/this induction going up there with only half the guys being inducted and not to forget the state Paul's voice is in these days.
Now the originals can accept together, while the RNRHOF plays some 70's/Reunion clips when Paul was still a great singer
